Website design for AI startups

Seven studios, checked . We're one of them, listed alphabetically like the rest.

DirectoryBy Jamila Rangwala
Website design for AI startups, a Hexcode design studio directory list

A website design studio for AI startups designs and builds the marketing site that explains a model, agent or API to buyers who don't have time to read a paper. Where the studios below publish a price, PIXELUP LABS says a brand and website project runs $25,000 to $40,000.

Your product shipped last quarter. It does something new, and the homepage still describes the category. Visitors read "AI-powered" in the headline and leave. A site can't fix a product nobody needs, but it can stop explaining a good one badly.

We build AI sites too, so this list isn't ranked. Studios are in alphabetical order, us included, and nobody paid to be on it.

How we picked

A studio made the list if:

  • its own site names AI startups or AI products among its clients
  • it designs marketing websites, not only product interfaces
  • it says how you buy: a project, a sprint, a retainer or a quote
  • it's a studio, not a solo freelancer

We left out freelancers, template shops and studios whose own site names no AI clients. Prices, ratings and client names come from each studio's own site or Clutch profile.

The seven studios at a glance

One of the seven publishes a price: PIXELUP LABS. Bricx, Everything Design, Lazarev and Refokus set minimums on Clutch ($25,000+, $1,000+, $100,000+ and $25,000+). BRIX and Hexcode publish no price.

Notes on each studio

Bricx

Calls itself a design studio for venture-backed AI startups, and shows San Francisco and Delhi on its own site, while its Clutch profile says New Delhi. It lists web design, product design, brand, motion and engineering, with Webflow, Framer and Next.js builds. It names Writesonic (YC S21), Sybill and CAMB.AI. It publishes no price. Clutch shows 5.0 from 32 reviews and a $25,000+ minimum project size, while its site quotes 4.9 and 5.0 in different places.

Good fit if: you're an AI startup that wants the site and the product designed by one studio.

BRIX Agency

Its AI page lists portfolio sites it built for AI companies and says it has worked with 50+ startups in the AI industry. It says all its sites are on Webflow, 200+ so far. It states no location or price, and we haven't checked its Clutch rating. Named clients include Paradox, Upside and CertifID.

Good fit if: you want a Webflow site your marketing team can edit, from a studio that has done many AI sites.
Not a fit if: you want a published price or a Clutch rating to compare.

Everything Design

A Bengaluru studio whose AI startup page lists 16 AI client logos and 11 projects, among them Entropik, Peoplebox and Relanto. It builds on Webflow and says it holds a Webflow premium partner badge. It publishes no price, Clutch shows a $1,000+ minimum project size, and its page shows no rating.

Good fit if: you want a studio that has built many AI sites on Webflow.

Hexcode (us)

A 15-person studio in Indore, founded in 2020, with US overlap until 1pm PT. We've designed and built sites for AI startups including Riveter, Drizz, LlamaIndex, Serval and Jooba. Our Riveter site went live in 6 weeks, per our clients page, and the same team can do the brand and product design around it. We don't publish a price and have no Clutch reviews yet. Read the Riveter case study

Good fit if: you want the site designed and built by the team that also does your brand and product.
Not a fit if: you want a price and a Clutch rating before the first call.

Lazarev

A San Francisco studio, with a Mountain View address on its page. It says most clients are late-seed to Series B SaaS and AI companies, and lists Accern, Elva, VT.news and Pika AI among its AI work. Its website design covers custom systems and Webflow, and it also offers product design and branding. It publishes no price. Clutch shows 5.0 from 19 reviews, a $100,000+ minimum project size and $100 to $149 an hour.

Good fit if: you've raised a late-seed round or more and want a studio with AI launches behind it.
Not a fit if: your budget is under its $100,000+ Clutch minimum.

PIXELUP LABS

Calls itself the enterprise-readiness design partner for funded B2B startups, most of them AI-native. It is the only studio here that publishes prices: a $15,000 brand sprint over 2 to 4 weeks, $25,000 to $40,000 for brand and website over 6 to 8 weeks, and retainers from $6,000 a month. It names Greptile, Reducto and Sully.ai, and says Greptile raised a $25M Series A within six months of launch. It states no location, and we found no Clutch profile.

Good fit if: you want stated prices and timelines before the first call.

Refokus

Its tagline is brand and websites for tech startups, and its site lists a startups solution next to one for venture capital firms. It builds on Webflow and names Meridian, an AI visibility product, and Botify among its testimonials. It publishes no price and states no headquarters on its site. Clutch lists New York and Hamburg, and shows 5.0 from 10 reviews and a $25,000+ minimum project size.

Good fit if: you want the brand and the site done together on Webflow.

Webflow or custom code for an AI startup's website?

Webflow, if your marketing team will change the site every week. Custom code, if the site is part of the product. BRIX, Everything Design and Refokus build in Webflow, Lazarev offers it next to custom systems, and Bricx lists Next.js as well.

Six questions to ask before you sign

  1. Which AI companies have you built for, and can I speak to one?
  2. Can my team edit the site without a developer?
  3. Who writes the copy, and does it say what the product does?
  4. How do you handle docs, pricing and changelog pages?
  5. What happens to the site when the product changes in a month?
  6. What does the site cost to host and maintain after launch?

Questions

How much does a website for an AI startup cost?

Published figures are few. PIXELUP LABS says brand and website projects run $25,000 to $40,000 and a brand sprint is $15,000. Bricx, Lazarev and Refokus set Clutch minimums of $25,000+, $100,000+ and $25,000+, and Everything Design's Clutch minimum is $1,000+.

How long does an AI startup website take?

Published timelines are rare. PIXELUP LABS says brand plus website takes 6 to 8 weeks and a brand sprint 2 to 4 weeks. Our Riveter site went live in 6 weeks, per our clients page.

Should an AI startup build its website in Webflow?

Often, if marketing will edit the site. BRIX says all its sites are on Webflow, Everything Design and Refokus build in it, and Lazarev offers it alongside custom systems. Bricx lists Next.js too.

Do these studios design the product too?

Some do. Bricx, Lazarev and PIXELUP LABS list product design alongside websites, and so do we. BRIX, Everything Design and Refokus focus on sites and brand.

Can I see AI sites a studio has built before I commit?

Yes, every studio here shows client work. Everything Design lists 16 AI client logos and 11 projects, BRIX says it has worked with 50+ AI startups, and Lazarev names Accern, Elva and Pika AI.

Why isn't this list ranked?

Because we're on it. Ranking a list we compete in would tell you more about us than about the studios. So it's alphabetical, with the facts we could check.

Does your homepage say "AI-powered" and nothing else?

Thirty minutes, no deck. Send us the URL and we'll tell you what a visitor can't learn from it in ten seconds, even if the answer is one of the other six.
