The website that makes free coffee feel believable

Freebean is the world's first free coffee company. Good coffee at no cost to you, funded entirely by brands that advertise on the cans. We redesigned and rebuilt the site in Framer with the can at the centre, so the idea feels real before you finish scrolling.

About Freebean

Free coffee sounds like a gimmick. Freebean makes it a legitimate business model.

Freebean is the world's first free coffee company. The concept is straightforward: high-quality coffee delivered at no cost to the consumer, funded entirely through brand partnerships that advertise on the cans. It is a genuinely novel idea in a saturated market, and that novelty is both the biggest asset and the biggest communication challenge. When your core offer sounds too good to be true, your brand has to work twice as hard to build trust.

The product is real, the coffee is good, and the partnerships make it financially viable. But none of that matters if a visitor lands on the website and doesn't immediately believe it. For Freebean, the website is not just a marketing tool. It is the primary place where skepticism gets converted into curiosity, and curiosity gets converted into a customer.

What We Did

The original Freebean website wasn't doing the concept justice. A basic hero section, a product image, some numbers, a description, and an FAQ. It read like a placeholder, not a brand staking a claim in the coffee industry.

We redesigned and rebuilt the entire site in Framer, with the coffee can as the centrepiece of the experience. Given that the can is literally where the brand lives, physically and conceptually, it made sense to lead with it. Every interaction was designed to draw attention to it and keep it there.

We introduced scroll animations that reveal content as the user moves through the page, parallax effects that give the layout depth and dimension, can rotate on scroll that lets visitors examine the product from every angle, and hover effects that add a layer of tactile responsiveness to the experience. The visual direction stayed minimal but carried just enough playfulness to match the brand's unconventional personality. Nothing felt overdesigned. Everything felt intentional.

What Was the Impact?

The redesign shifted how Freebean's concept landed on first impression. The original site asked visitors to read their way into believing the idea. The new site made them feel it before they finished scrolling. Putting the can at the centre of the experience was a deliberate trust-building decision. When your product is this visually distinctive and your business model is this unconventional, showing the product confidently is itself a credibility signal. The interactions reinforced that confidence without getting in the way of clarity. The result was a website that felt worthy of the idea behind it. Visitors came away with a stronger sense that Freebean was a real, considered brand rather than a novelty concept with a landing page. That shift in perception translated directly into stronger trust among potential customers and a measurable improvement in conversion.

Got an idea so good people don't quite believe it?

When your offer sounds too good to be true, the website carries the whole burden of belief. If people can't feel it's real in the first few seconds, they leave before they read a word. A concept this new has to be shown with confidence, not explained into the ground. That's exactly what we build.
